GOG-230 World Geography

This course will introduce students to the eleven geographic realms of the world and provide details about the regions within each realm, including history, physical characteristics, politics, major industries and trade, environment and human activity, and role in the globalization process. Each module will cover a continental region that consists of representative countries in it, focusing on their interrelation, as well as the region's relationship with other regions. The course will delve deeper into the culture and human characteristics and their interactions with the rest of the world. This course will familiarize students with the geographic distribution of different regions and the general characteristics (population, dimensions, environment, politics, history, and culture) of the countries within them.
