The Undergraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity is a 15-credit program that provides students with a solid foundation in the field of cybersecurity. This certificate is offered completely online and features emerging trends, technologies and strategies in cybersecurity. The certificate is designed to transfer into the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity degree program at Thomas Edison State University.

Upon completion of the certificate program, you will be able to:

  1. Assess and apply cybersecurity principles, tools and methods to defend information systems against cyber threats.
  2. Apply cybersecurity design best practices and technologies to prevent and mitigate cyberattacks and vulnerabilities.
  3. Employ network defense technologies, monitoring tools and measures.
  4. Analyze and navigate policy, legal, ethical and compliance aspects of cybersecurity.
