20-21 Undergraduate Catalog

Returning from Taking Time off and Readmission

Returning from Taking Time Off

As per University policy on Catalog Currency, enrolled students whose enrollment has lapsed, and who have become inactive, may return within 36 months of the end of their enrollment and continue in the degree requirements that were in effect at the time of their initial enrollment if they continue in the same degree. To return to active status, students register for a course and they will be reactivated 10 days into the term of their registered course or TECEP. (Note: Nursing and Military affiliated students should contact the School of Nursing or the Office of Military and Veterans Education (OMVE) for more information on applicable policies).

Students who have utilized the Catalog Year Extension process may, within one year, return to enrolled student status by selecting one of the University’s enrollment plans and submitting the Return from Time Off Form.

Per Credit Tuition Plan: There is no annual fee required. Students register and pay for course tuition on a per credit basis and are enrolled in the University based on the course registration activity. The University’s per credit tuition plans include enrollment plans for the School of Nursing, the Navy College Program, Military Degree Completion Program, Corporate Choice Programs, as well as the University’s standard Per Credit Tuition Plan.

Readmission

Applicants who do not enroll by paying tuition during the 12-month period from the date of application must reapply by paying the Application Fee again. Applicants returning in certain degree populations may be required to resubmit supplemental documentation.

Readmission of Thomas Edison State University Graduates

Graduates of the University who return for a second degree must fill out an application for admission.

Degree Requirements for Returning Students

Enrolled students whose enrollment has lapsed for more than 36 months and re-enroll will be required to complete the degree requirements in accordance with academic policies in effect at the time of re-enrollment.
