Student may choose, working with an advisor, four of the following graduate courses taken as a Bachelor’s to Master’s Program student:
HLS-505Foundations of Homeland Security

MPL-510Research Methods in Public Service

HLS-611International Legal and Ethical Issues

3

HLS-625Technology and Information Security

3

HLS-640Funding and Program Administration for Homeland Security

3

Students select one of the following:

MPL-520Program Analysis and Evaluation

3

MNP-515Leading Strategic Change in Public Service

3

 

How these courses apply to the bachelor's degree:

Students do not necessarily need to be in a public service undergraduate degree to qualify for this program.  If they are in the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, these four courses will replace required courses in the BS degree.  It is imperative that students meet with their advisors to determine what credits can be applied where.
