NUR-3280 Health Assessment and Health Promotion

This foundational course develops students' competencies in health assessment and health promotion using the clinical judgement model and clinical judgment framework. Students will learn to recognize and analyze cues from patient data, apply critical thinking to identify health concerns, and prioritize nursing actions. Emphasis is placed on systematic assessment techniques, effective communication, and data validation. Additionally, students will explore culturally and developmentally appropriate health promotion strategies to enhance patient outcomes and support disease prevention.
