The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Sciences provides students with a broad range of knowledge in the social sciences in preparation for career change, professional advancement, or graduate study.  Students will gain a deeper understanding of human behavior and the relationships between individuals and societies.  The degree provides a broad foundation in how to think critically, communicate effectively, and make decisions based on evidence and data.  Students may select from one of our five social science areas of study. 

  • Anthropology

  • International Studies

  • Labor Studies

  • Political Science

  • Sociology 

Courses transferred to Thomas Edison State University are equated to the following levels: 1000, 2000, 3000 or 4000. A minimum of 18 credits equating to 3000 or 4000 are required in the area of study.
